This course is designed to acquaint doctoral students with fundamental scientific thinking and methodological approaches relevant to Interpreting Studies. The course attempts to cover the major steps in writing an academic paper, including the selection of topics and theoretical frameworks, reading research literature and analyzing data. Through critical analyzing of existing theories and in-class discussion, students will have a deep understanding of steps in preparing an academic research.
