课程介绍

As a focal course for first-year graduate students in business school, business research provide an opportunity for students to develop critical thinking in scientific research, as well as master practical techniques when doing research in business world. As the market economy is getting mature and more open, China has more requirements for those who base their business decisions on research and data, not solely on intuition or attitude; intuition or attitude might be stereotyped or arbitrary. Business research introduces: (1) The logic of scientific discovery; (2) The commonalities and differences between business research and academic research; (3) Research process and steps; (4) Research design and multiple research methods; (5) Measurement, scale and questionnaire; (6) Data collection, analysis and results reporting. This course is not only intended to introduce to students the basic business research concepts and principles, but more importantly, help them form an independent, scientific, and critical thinking style in conducting research, and become a real researcher.
