课程介绍

This 16-week course is designed to introduce PhD students to the fundamentals of legal research and writing. The course is structured around weekly lectures, discussions, and hands-on exercises to help students develop the necessary skills for conducting legal research and effectively communicating their findings through various written formats. The course may include: Ethical Considerations in Legal Research and Writing, Use of AI in Research, principles of legal writing regarding sentence phrasing, Organizing legal documents, Learning Basics of Qualitative Research Writing and so on. Each week focuses on specific topics and includes a combination of lectures, discussions, and assignments to reinforce the concepts learned in class. The course culminates in final project presentations where students apply their knowledge to a real-world legal issue.
